1. SCOPE OF APPLICATION
1.1 The Managing Committee of Cricket Banaega Name has established this Code of Conduct to uphold the integrity of tennis-ball cricket, promote the sport, and safeguard the safety, dignity, and well-being of all members and participating players. This Code forms an integral part of the League.
1.2 This Code of Conduct is issued and adopted by the Organization to preserve the spirit, traditions, and rules of tennis-ball cricket. It applies to all participants, including players, parents, legal guardians, team officials, coaches, captains, managers, and umpires. Any violations shall be addressed promptly and fairly by the Management Committee and/or Disciplinary Committee.
1.3 All matches and activities shall be conducted in the true spirit of cricket, and all participants are expected to comply fully with this Code.
1.4 Participants shall not engage in any conduct, whether on or off the field, that is inconsistent with the principles and values of tennis-ball cricket.
1.5 All members commit to respecting opponents, teammates, captains, umpires, officials, and the traditional values of the game.
1.6 The safety, security, and welfare of players shall be a priority at all times.
2. CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PLAYERS
2.1 All players registered with Cricket Banaega Name, either individually or through their parents/legal guardians, are bound by this Code of Conduct.
2.2 Players and their parents/legal guardians acknowledge their responsibility to understand and comply with this Code and accept the exclusive jurisdiction of the Management Committee and/or Disciplinary Committee for handling any violations.
2.3 Players and parents/legal guardians agree not to initiate legal proceedings relating to disciplinary actions taken under this Code.
3. CODE OF CONDUCT OFFENCES FOR PLAYERS
3.1 Tennis-ball cricket is governed by both its rules and its spirit. Any action that undermines this spirit is deemed a violation of this Code and may result in disciplinary proceedings.
Players must not:
3.2 Abuse cricket equipment, clothing, or ground facilities during training or matches.
3.3 Dispute or show dissent toward umpire decisions.
3.4 Use abusive, crude, offensive, or obscene language or gestures.
3.5 Engage in excessive appealing, swearing, or unsporting behavior.
3.6 Make inappropriate or deliberate physical contact with others.
3.7 Advance aggressively toward umpires or officials.
3.8 Deliberately distract, obstruct, or intimidate opponents.
3.9 Throw objects in a dangerous or irresponsible manner.
3.10 Use seriously insulting, obscene, or threatening language or gestures.
3.11 Tamper with or alter the condition of the ball unfairly.
3.12 Manipulate match results or events for strategic or unfair advantage.
3.13 Threaten, abuse, or intimidate umpires, officials, or participants.
3.14 Engage in violent conduct or racial, discriminatory, or abusive behavior.
3.15 Fail to be punctual, wear required protective equipment, or comply with dress codes.
3.16 Consume alcohol, drugs, or prohibited substances during training, matches, or League activities.
4. CODE OF CONDUCT FOR UMPIRES
4.1 Umpires shall not make public statements or comments that may harm the reputation of Cricket Banaega Name or tennis-ball cricket.
4.2 Umpires shall maintain confidentiality regarding alleged breaches unless disclosure is required by the Management Committee.
4.3 Umpires must strictly avoid any involvement in betting, match-fixing, or corrupt practices as outlined in Appendix A.
5. CODE OF CONDUCT FOR PARENTS / LEGAL GUARDIANS
5.1 Parents and guardians must encourage fair play, discipline, and respect for all participants.
5.2 Disputes, aggressive behavior, or interference during matches or training are strictly discouraged.
5.3 Parents should recognize and appreciate good performance and effort, regardless of match outcomes.
5.4 Parents must refrain from criticizing, humiliating, or pressuring children for mistakes.
5.5 The safety, emotional well-being, and development of children must always take precedence.
6. CODE OF CONDUCT FOR COACHES / CAPTAINS / MANAGERS / TEAM OFFICIALS
6.1 Captains and team officials shall promote fair play, discipline, and respect, and discourage time-wasting or unsporting conduct.
6.2 Coaches and managers must adhere to acceptable standards of behavior, professionalism, and appropriate attire.
6.3 All team officials must prioritize the safety, security, and welfare of players at all times.
7. SANCTIONS
7.1 The Management Committee and/or Disciplinary Committee shall impose appropriate sanctions for violations of this Code, which may include warnings, suspension, or termination of participation.
7.2 Sanctions shall be proportionate to the seriousness and nature of the offense.
7.3 All disciplinary decisions shall be final and binding.
8. AMENDMENT & INTERPRETATION
8.1 This Code of Conduct may be amended by the Organization, with amendments becoming effective on the specified date.
8.2 Headings are for reference only and do not affect the interpretation of provisions.
8.3 If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain fully enforceable.
APPENDIX A – PROHIBITED CONDUCT
Participants of Cricket Banaega Name, including players, parents, umpires, coaches, and officials, shall be deemed in breach of this Code if they:
Bet on any match or League-related event
Encourage or induce others to bet
Manipulate or attempt to manipulate match results or incidents
Fail to report approaches related to corrupt or prohibited conduct
Engage in any activity prejudicial to the integrity and interests of tennis-ball cricket
