Anti-Racism Code
Cricket Banaega Name
(For Players & Team Officials)
1. SCOPE AND APPLICATION
The Management of Cricket Banaega Name (“Management”) is responsible for the organization and operation of the League. This Anti-Racism Code for Players and Team Officials (the “Anti-Racism Code”) is adopted and implemented as an integral part of Cricket Banaega Name to ensure that all participants conduct themselves in a respectful, inclusive, and non-discriminatory manner.
This Code applies to all Players, Team Officials, Umpires, Match Officials, and associated personnel participating in or connected with Cricket Banaega Name. Any conduct that is racially, religiously, or culturally offensive will be dealt with promptly, fairly, and decisively by the Management Committee and/or Disciplinary Committee.
2. CONDUCT OF PARTICIPANTS
2.1 All Players and Team Officials are automatically bound by and required to comply with the provisions of this Anti-Racism Code.
2.2 Each participant agrees and undertakes:
a) To take personal responsibility for understanding this Anti-Racism Code, including identifying conduct that constitutes a violation.
b) To submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Management Committee and/or Disciplinary Committee for the resolution of any charges arising under this Code.
c) Not to initiate or pursue legal proceedings inconsistent with the jurisdiction of the Management Committee or Disciplinary Committee.
d) To acknowledge that conduct prohibited under this Code may also constitute a violation of applicable laws and regulations, including anti-discrimination and equal opportunity laws. This Code operates in addition to, and not in substitution of, such laws.
e) To comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards at all times.
3. OFFENCES
3.1 Any of the following conduct by a Player or Team Official, whether occurring during a match, training session, official event, or any League-related activity, shall constitute an offense under this Code:
Engaging in any behavior—whether through spoken words, written communication, gestures, signs, symbols, or other actions—that is reasonably likely to insult, humiliate, intimidate, threaten, disparage, offend, or vilify any person. This includes conduct directed at Players, Team Officials, Umpires, Match Officials, spectators, or any other individual on the basis of race, religion, culture, color, descent, nationality, or ethnic origin.
4. SANCTIONS
4.1 Where the Management Committee and/or Disciplinary Committee determines that a breach of this Anti-Racism Code has occurred, appropriate disciplinary action shall be imposed.
4.2 Depending on the nature, severity, and circumstances of the offense, sanctions may include:
Suspension of the Player or Team Official for a specified period;
Termination of the Player’s or Team Official’s right to participate in Cricket Banaega Name;
Any additional disciplinary measures deemed appropriate by the Committee.
4.3 All decisions of the Management Committee and/or Disciplinary Committee shall be final and binding on all participants and stakeholders.
5. AMENDMENT & INTERPRETATION
5.1 This Anti-Racism Code may be amended from time to time by the Management of Cricket Banaega Name. Any amendments shall take effect from the date specified by the Management.
5.2 Headings used in this Code are for reference purposes only and shall not affect the interpretation of any provision.
5.3 If any provision of this Code is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect, with the invalid provision deemed severed.
